Group Monkey is now inside Friender

Stop approving Facebook group members by hand.

Group Monkey approves the right people, declines the rest, welcomes every new member, and sends each one's details to your CRM. It runs on the schedule you set.

Managing member requests shouldn't take up your whole day.

Every person who asks to join is a potential customer. Most admins approve them by hand, lose their answers, and never follow up.

    Doing it by hand

    • Open Member requests and read every answer yourself
    • Copy emails into a spreadsheet one at a time
    • Guess which emails are fake
    • Check your buyer list by hand before approving paid members
    • Forget to welcome the people you just let in

    With Group Monkey

    • Approval rules run on a schedule you set
    • Each new member's details are sent to your webhook, Google Sheet, or CSV
    • Emails are checked with Abstract, Tomba, or Hunter
    • Only people on your pre-approved list get approved
    • New members are tagged in a welcome post and sent a DM

Set it up once. It keeps running.

Group Monkey works from the Facebook page you already use to manage requests, so you don't need to learn a new process.

    1

    Save your group

One click on your Member requests page saves the group and its membership questions.

    2

    Set your rules

Choose who gets in: complete answers, a verified email, your pre-approved list.

    3

    Approvals run themselves

Qualified people are approved on your schedule. Everyone else can be declined.

    4

    Welcome and capture

New members get tagged, messaged, and sent to your CRM or Google Sheet.

Everything between "Request to join" and "Welcome in."

Approval rules, email checks, member messaging, and lead export, all in one Friender account.

    Approve the right people automatically.

Turn on the rules that matter for your group. Group Monkey checks every pending request against them and approves the people who pass.

Auto approve rules Only approve if they answered all questions Only approve if they're on my pre-approved list Verify their email address Auto-decline everyone else

Catch fake emails before you let people in.

Check the email from your membership question with Abstract, Tomba, or Hunter. You decide whether Gmail and other free addresses count.

Let only paying members into paid groups.

Connect a Google Sheet of your buyers as a pre-approved list. Only emails on that list are approved.

Send a message based on each answer.

Pick a question and an answer, and Group Monkey sends that group of people its own DM, so each person's first message is relevant to them.

    Decline politely and automatically.

Turn on auto-decline for people who don't meet your rules. You can send them a message telling them what to do next.

Send every new member to your CRM.

Each approved member's details can go to a webhook (your CRM, Zapier, or Make), a Google Sheet, or a CSV download.

    Bulk actions inside Facebook.

The Friender bar on your Member requests page lets you select and approve, approve all, select and decline, decline all, or undo.

    Runs on your schedule.

Run every few hours or once a day at a set time. Messages are spaced out with your delay plus a random delay.

Welcome every new member. Follow up with every one.

Approval is only the first step. These automations keep new members engaged after they join.

    Auto approve

Decides who gets in, without you on the Member requests page.

    • Only approve people who answered every question
    • Only approve emails on your pre-approved Google Sheet
    • Verify the email they gave you
    • Auto-decline everyone else, with an optional message
    • DM people as soon as they're approved
    • Send a different DM based on how they answered a question
    • Export to a webhook, Google Sheet, or CSV

    Welcome post

Gives your newest members a public welcome.

    • Tag up to 50 new members in each post
    • Choose how recently they joined, in days
    • Rotate wording with spintax and add merge fields
    • Optionally DM everyone you tag

    Comment post

Keeps one welcome thread going instead of flooding the feed.

    • Paste the URL of your pinned welcome or rules post
    • Comment on it and tag the newest members
    • Use spintax and merge fields in every comment
    • Optionally DM everyone you tag

    Send message

Starts a private conversation with every new member.

    • DM members who joined in the last few days
    • Use an AI quick message, a quick message, or a saved template group
    • Space messages out with a delay plus a random delay
    • Run every few hours or once a day

Every message slot works the same way. Write an AI quick message, a plain quick message, or pick one of your saved Friender template groups.

However you run your group, Group Monkey can handle the requests.

    Paid groups and courses

Connect your buyer list. Only people whose email is on it get approved.

    Lead-generation groups

Ask for an email in your questions, verify it, and send it to your CRM automatically.

    Coaching communities

Send a different first message depending on how each person answered your questions.

    Large free groups

Decline people who skip your questions so you keep the people who are serious about your group.

New members flow straight into your Friender follow-up.

Group Monkey uses the same Friender message templates and Chrome extension you already have. New members become contacts you can follow up with, and Friender handles your posts, friend requests, and Messenger conversations too.

    What is Group Monkey?

Group Monkey is Friender's Facebook group manager. It approves or declines join requests based on rules you set, verifies emails, checks people against your pre-approved list, welcomes new members with posts, comments, and DMs, and sends every new member's details to your CRM, webhook, Google Sheet, or a CSV.

How do I add my group?

Paste the group link into Friender, or open your group's Member requests page on Facebook and click Add contact(s) to Friender in the Friender bar. Click Save group questions on the same bar so Group Monkey can use your membership questions in its approval rules.

    What rules can auto-approve use?

You can require answers to every membership question, require the person's email to be on a pre-approved Google Sheet, and require the email to pass verification. Turn on any combination. People who don't qualify can be auto-declined, with an optional message.

Can I use it for a paid Facebook group or course community?

Yes. Put your buyers' emails in a Google Sheet, connect it as a pre-approved list, and choose the membership question that asks for an email. Group Monkey only approves people whose email is on that list.

Which email verification services does it work with?

Abstract, Tomba, and Hunter. You connect your own API key from the service you pick, and you choose whether free webmail addresses like Gmail count as valid.

Where do my new members' details go?

Anywhere you need them. Send each approved member to a webhook (for your CRM, Zapier, or Make), to a Google Sheet, or download them as a CSV.

    How often do automations run?

On the schedule you choose: every few hours, or once a day at a set time. Each run takes up to five minutes, messages are spaced out with your chosen delay plus a random delay, and welcome posts tag up to 50 people at a time.

Is the original Group Monkey now part of Friender?

Yes. Group Monkey has been rebuilt inside Friender, so your group workflow lives alongside Friender's other Facebook tools in one account.

What happens after I create my account?

We'll send account setup instructions to your email. Your free Friender Basic account includes Group Monkey through this page. Then you can review an optional paid Friender offer or continue with your free account.

Do I need a credit card?

You can create your free Basic account without a credit card. After signup, the optional paid offer shows its plan features, price, and billing terms before you decide.

What do I need to use it?

You need a Facebook account with admin access to the group you want to manage. Friender's browser features work with Chrome on desktop.

Your next great group member is on the way.

Let Group Monkey approve them, welcome them, and add them to your CRM, so you can spend your time running the group.
